TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. By purchasing a copy of THE WAY WE DO THINGS you automatically become eligible to enter the GTW YOUNG ENVIRONMENTALIST competition. The competition is run by the Giving Them Wings Foundation NPC and its partners.
  2. The competition is open to anyone living in South Africa under the age of 16 years who has purchased a copy of THE WAY WE DO THINGS. Giving Them Wings Foundation employees, family members of employees and associates are excluded from participation.
  3. Participants are to create a 60 second video of themselves or your group participating in an environmental initiative at your school, home or community. This may be an individual initiative or group activity. Your copy of THE WAY WE DO THINGS features prominently in the video. Post your video on TikTok and tag Giving Them Wings.
  4. The winner will receive R5000.00. The prize will be awarded to the entrant that displays the most initiative and inclusion in their environmental effort. Entrants are encouraged to include as many people in their project as possible however the cash prize will be paid out to one person. School clubs are mostly encouraged to participate.
  5. Giving Them Wings Foundation’s decision on any aspect of the competition is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
  6. The winner will be chosen based on the creativity and impact of their environmental initiative and will be announced on 31 May 2023.
